Born in 1967 in the Montérégie region of Quebec, painter Marc Galipeau has always been attracted to art. His elementary and high school years were tinged by multiple experiences in the field, and his participation in numerous contests cemented his growing passion for art.
A self-taught artist, Galipeau observes, interacts with other artists, experiments, and questions. He takes drawing lessons, explores movement, light and colour, and constantly soul searches.
For more than 15 years, he develops his talent. He creates his own fantasy world and little by little the large art galleries in Quebec, Canada, and Mexico welcome him.
Despite this growing success, Galipeau never stops working and experimenting, always wanting to take his art to the next level. He ventures into the world of the abstract and discovers countless ways to express his emotions. The richness of colours allows him to express himself in new ways and his work is viewed in a new light.
Galipeau exhibits his colourful characters bursting with joy and his lively abstract paintings throughout Canada, the United States, France, Belgium, and Mexico. His many accolades include:
2006 and 2007 – Exhibition at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris as part of the Salon de la Société National des Beaux Arts
2009 – Member of the Académie des Beaux Arts du Québec
